Suggested Vocabulary
The following words are recommended for best results:
- TV POWER
- VOLUME UP
- VOLUME DOWN
- NEXT CHANNEL (Usually better than "Channel Up" You may also try "CHANNEL FORWARD.")
- CHANNEL BACK (Usually better than "Channel Down.")
- STOP
- PLAY TAPE
- REWIND
- FAST FORWARD
- SILENT (Better than "Mute." "MUTING" is also satisfactory)
- SCAN
- SURFING (Better than "Surf")
- CABLE
- CABLE POWER
- CD PLAYER
Try to use a mix of longer words and shorter words, but avoid very short words like On, Off, or Mute. Don't hesitate to experiment — everybody speaks differently!
