The ACCEL solution controls your ASIC’s voltage supply, dynamically adjusting for load variations and changes in process, temperature, and voltage. This results in significantly reduced variations in gate delay and power dissipation, allowing much narrower targeted operating specifications.
Speed & Power ImprovementSpeed and power improvement are achieved by generating a supply voltage that compensates for process and temperature conditions, resulting in a much tighter range of performance. Instead of designing to the usual 3X variation in gate delay, this is reduced by a factor of 2-3. Similarly, power dissipation is reduced due to limiting operation to lower supply voltages for low temperature and fast process conditions.Reduce Development TimeBecause design parameters are restricted to a tighter range, it is easier to meet timing requirements and requires less effort to complete timing closure and power distribution analysis.Improve YieldMarginal performance problems that only occur in the outer corner conditions will be eliminated due to tightened operation.Extend Product LifeWhen targeting the typical corner, the resulting speed improvement is similar to that achieved with next generation technology.
