The
Innotech Systems IC1003 Infrared Receiver/Decoder Integrated Circuit
provides a convenient means of enabling microprocessor or
microcontroller-based systems to receive infrared remote control signals.
The IC1003 receives and decodes NEC-format infrared remote control signals
generated by Universal Remote Controls. The NEC protocol is among the most
popular, and is used by NEC, Hitachi, Toshiba and Mitsubishi among others.
The IC1003 inputs IR data from an infrared detector and provides a 3-byte
serial ASCII message at 9600 baud.
The IC1003 is compatible with all universal remote controls and with
universal remote controls designed by Innotech Systems.
