IC8205A The IC8205A is a highly customizable, fully integrated solution for high volume, low cost IR remote controls and systems. The ultra-flexible IC8205A combines the comprehensive Innotech IR library of remote control codes, and a high-performance "learner" so that IC8205A-based remote controls will never be out-of-date.

The IC8205A is designed for use in both handheld remote controls with a keypad interface and sophisticated microcontroller-based systems via either synchronous or asynchronous serial interfaces. The IC8205A is supplied in die form for the lowest possible manufacturing costs. An OTP version is available for system prototyping.

The "6-in-1" IC8205A is a complete "Home Theater" remote control IC capable of controlling all popular home entertainment devices including TV/VCR/Cable Box/DSS/DVD/CD/Audio and Tape.

The IC8205A provides all of the functions for infrared remote controls include keypad scan, keypad debounce, direct visible LED drive, and modulated infrared output. Low operating power and a standby sleep mode provide long battery life with just two batteries.
